What? FOX News Owner Praises Obama

Rupert Murdoch is the owner of FOX News Channel and other organizations such as the News Corporation, Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones and the NY Post. Mr. Murdoch, republican and friend of Sen. John McCain is quoted by ABC News saying, “McCain has been in Congress a long time” which means he’s made “too many compromises. So, what’s he really stand for? He’s a patriot, he’s a friend of mine, a very decent guy, I think he has — and I say this sympathetically — I think he has a lot of problems.“
Also Mr. Murdoch was quoted saying, “I don’t think he will win Florida…..but he will win in Ohio and the election plus I am anxious to meet him and want to see if he will walk the walk.”
To go into more detail of this statement he even offers his opinions about how some voters may vote in terms of race. Mr. Murdoch says “…because the Jewish people are suspicious of him, and so are Hispanics… and while people won’t talk about it, race will matter.”
I think this is very interesting statements to hear from this republican. He owns FOX News, you would think that he would be touting the same old GOP spin and scripted talking points. To hear a republican speak honestly in public normally makes me suspicious, but oddly enough I think he was giving his honest opinion. Hopefully, he won’t prove me wrong as we go into the general election season that officially begins next Wednesday.
