Following the Democratic National Committee rules and bylaws committee meeting yesterday I still wonder who is this issue of Michigan & Florida really about, the people or Hillary.

Reading well-known publications such as the L.A. Times all of the disunity I was hearing and watching on CNN was from Clinton supporters. Now I’m not go into Florida because it appears that they have come to a resolution. I will not go into detail about Hillary saying that Michigan wasn’t going to count during an interview in NH. What I will say is that the anger of Clinton supporters should not be towards the RBC (Rules & By-laws Committee) or even Senator Obama. His name like four other candidates wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan. The person who Clinton supporters should be upset with is Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and the Michigan Democratic Party. If she had never signed the law you wouldn’t be where we’re at today.

It was Clinton Supporter, Governor Jennifer Granholm who signed the primary that violated the DNC Timing Rule into law. You can even question Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer for leading the effort.

The committee could have easily have said, “you violated the rules and you are not getting any thing”. It’s about the delegates not the votes. Yes, I agree it really should be about the votes. I know a lot of people in Michigan who supports both Barack & Hillary. I want their vote to count, but they are not at fault either. They didn’t change the rules, but they had to suffer the consequences, until yesterday. The point of the meeting was to come to a resolution and UNIFY the party.

It’s interesting how the goal post keeps moving.

Their are SOME Clinton surrogates and supporters such as Harold Ickes making very divisive public statements and gestures.

I ask again, who is the really about?

Mr. Ickes says “Mrs. Clinton has instructed me to reserve her rights to take this to the credentials committee”.

Who is the one dividing the party? If it’s truly about the people of the party, a unified party at the convention and not about Hillary, why are you so upset for when someone openly disobeys the rules?

I know there are some die-hard Hillary supporters, just like there are die-hard Obama supporters who are itching to respond. I welcome your response, but keep in mind; I’m a Democrat too.

We’re on the same team and if we’re going to win the championship we’re going to have to work together. This is game 7 of the Democratic Conference Finals, whether you’re a Pistons fan or a Celtics fan we still going to have to play against the Lakers for the title. (Sorry for that NBA analogy, but you get my point.)

It’s amazing how no one or very few people has said anything about how Hillary Clinton’s difficulties with Working Class Black Voters. Doesn’t the most reliable voting block of the Democratic Party matter? Perhaps it’s just another Southern Strategy at play.

By-the-way what ever happened to the Republican play for the Black vote? That effort just went out the window this time around.

What is your opinion or answer to these questions? Be honest. I’m not going to attack your comments, but think about what you’re saying since others will be able to read and comment on them.

It’s just a question, not an attack. I want to hear from Democrats & Republicans of any racial group.
