I got to bring my man back again.

Some of you may not understand this comment, but some I’m sure will. If you don’t understand it, don’t worry about it. All I have to say is when was the last time you’ve seen anyone this close to becoming President this cool. You’re the man, I’m just living in your world. The only thing else you need is smart and beautiful woman by your side. Oh, my bad you got that too. Dude… I wanna be like you when I grow up.

I want to take a moment to give a big endorsement of a blog that I’ve found to be like a refreshing glass of Kool-Aid (“Red” of course) on a hot summer day. I don’t recommend anyone for the sake of recommendation, because that weakens the value of the recommendation. I just want to take a minute to show my appreciation for a blog that I think you should read after reading mine.

Bookmark it, write it down on a post-it note or even tell your Momma about it, just take a few minutes to check out Steady Cat’s Soap Box.

I’m Tim Valentine and I approve this message.

John McCain has pledged on multiple occasions that he will run a respectable campaign, even Cindy joined in. So What Happened?

It seems to me that you rather lose your integrity than win a campaign. McCain First.

…AND THE CHURCH SAID AMEN. I’M TELLING YOU THAT MY WHITE BROTHER IS DROPPING SOME KNOWLEDGE AND SPEAKING SOME TRUTH. MY MAN I GOT YOUR BACK ON THIS ONE. That’s what I’m talking about. The only thing else we need is to sing an A & B selection, take up an offering and give a benediction, because we just had church.

TRANSLATION — STRUCTURED COMMENTS:

You have to forgive me on this one, but I can only express my comments as I am. I hope you can understand my appreciation for the words Mr. Trumka just offered. This is something that I have argued countless times to people of all races, but because I’m Black it’s discounted by many who are not Black as just another… talking that Black…again. Mr. Richard Trumka says what I’ve said hundreds of times, but he expresses it in a way that I believe will resonate to some just once.

It’s just refreshing to hear someone White giving this speech to a majority White audience. It’s not just about Barack Obama, but about the perceptions and misconceptions of being someone like Barack Obama, Black in America.

I personally want to thank the AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Richard Trumka giving a very impassioned speech against racism. WOW!
