The Words of Steele’s Choosing

Let me make sure I understood what Michael Steele, Chairman of the Republican National Party said about the War in Afghanistan.

Keep in mind again, federal candidates, this was a war of Obama’s choosing. This is not something the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in.” – Michael Steele; GOP Chairman

There is so much I could say, but why should I bother. It’s easier to just allow people to introduce themselves and their agenda. What else is there for me to say in response to this one? This one is so obvious that even FOX News can’t spin it and be taken seriously.

The War in Afghanistan began on October 7, 2001. Now I’m not a mathematician, but the last time I checked October 7, 2001 is before January 20, 2009.

So the question for those who agree with the Michael Steele is simple. Who was President on October 7, 2001? This is the one who choose this war?

You can deny what is true, but that doesn’t make what you say right.

Republicans Set to Dine with BP Lobbyist & Joe Barton

I couldn’t make this one up if I tried. You have to admit that this is not political smart regardless of your political ideology. BUT the Colorado Republican Congressional Candidate Cory Gardner is holding a fundraiser with BP Lobbyist and Rep. Joe Barton. (Mr. I’m Sorry)

Yes, I know, but this is not me saying this. Check it out for yourself.

On Thursday, Dan Meyer, a lobbyist for BP — the besieged oil company responsible for the biggest environmental disaster in U.S. history — will co-host a luncheon at Hotel George in Washington D.C. for the benefit of Colorado GOP congressional candidate Cory Gardner.

An official with the Dubernstein Group, Meyer serves on a BP account that has brought in $100,000 in lobbying fees during the first quarter of 2010.

He’s not the only Republican official hosting the $1,000-a-plate affair, but also Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN.) and Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-MN.) are participating as well.

Now I’ve listen to a guy who was telling me how he liked Marsha Blackburn and how she’s this and that. When I said I actually knew here he was surprised. I knew her when she was a Commissioner for the TN Film Commission back in the late 90′s. I really did not think too much of her then and even less of her now. BUT I guess she’s palling around with BP Lobbyist and Big Oil apologist and GOP wannabes now. That’s the GOP for you. They’ll tell you one thing and how outraged they are and pound their fist, kick and scream, then cozy up to the corporations behind closed doors. I wonder how surprised he’ll be when he learns of this. I’ll have to tell him since they won’t mention this on FOX News.

Conservatives can say what you want about me, each time you do it just proves my point. This is why I’ve given up on many of those who follow these guys and gals. You can’t tell them anything and when you do they get mad and resort to name calling and other immature demonstrations.

So say whatcha want about me, it still doesn’t change the fact that after the oil spill, made possible by deregulations, after Joe Barton apologizes to BP for what is there mistake, it is still alright for a Republican seeking to ‘get it’ to dine with BP Lobbyist and its apologists in the Grand Oil Party. You’ll find a way to place the blame on someone else anyway.

Sorry for Apologizing

From Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) suggesting taxpayers flip the bill instead of BP, then recanting, to this I really think there is nothing more I need to say. I will let the Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) speak for himself and reveal his own intentions & motivations.

Who’s the party of the people and who’s the party of big business? That’s the question to ask. But you don’t have to accept reality, but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t real because some may not accept it. Believe what you want to believe.

BP Oil Spill: You Pay for It

It is generally not the practice of this country to change the laws after the game,” said Tom Donohue, the president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Everybody is going to contribute to this clean up. We are all going to have to do it. We are going to have to get the money from the government and from the companies and we will figure out a way to do that.” – Tom Donohue

First thing Tom you obviously don’t know history, because if the first line of your statement was true, then there would have never been the need for Dred Scott to petition the U.S. Supreme Court, Emancipation Proclamation, Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka, KS, Civil Rights Act, Voters Rights Act, American’s with Disabilities Act and so many other legislation, court decisions that are now law. This country is all about changing the rules during the play.

Second, are you serious? You are actually suggesting that the government, meaning you (the taxpayers) pay for the BP Oil disaster.

Don’t your organization typically side with Republicans when the government in this regard? I thought you were against what you’re now suggesting the government & taxpayers do. So, why the change of heart?  It almost sounds like your trying to protect someone or something.

What surprised me was to hear the House Minority Leader, Republican, John Boehner actually co-sign what Tom Donohue is suggesting of requiring taxpayers to pay for the BP Oil disaster.

John Boehner said at his weekly press conference this morning…

I think the people responsible in the oil spill–BP and the federal government–should take full responsibility for what’s happening there.

Um… unless he’s referring to the de-regulators, for which most are found in his own party, why does the federal government have to pay for the BP Oil Disaster?

I’m just waiting to see what everyone will have to say about that.

There’s so much I can and have said about Republicans, but if anyone have noticed I’ve stopped. Primarily, because I can get through to a mule faster than trying to help you see the contradictions and understand the history and consequences of your actions. But you’re not totally alone, because some Democrats are just as bad as you, so it goes both ways.

If Rep. John Boehner was simply making a general statement, in his reference about the role of the government had to play in this disaster, then it still doesn’t make sense politically because the finger points back to members within his own party for the most part. Does the name Dick Cheney or George W. Bush come to mind when you think about De-regulations, Big Oil and Government?

So how politically wise is it to be co-signing on such an absurd declaration by the president of the US Chamber of Commerce?

Drill Baby Drill

When I think about what is going on with this recent oil spill in the Gulf it makes me mad, because with each image that’s reported on, what I see is the image of Republicans at the 2008 Republican National Convention chanting, “Drill Baby Drill”.

When I listen to the reports and updates about how it can be stopped, all I hear is the GOP’s rallying call of “Drill Baby Drill”.

When you watch the slow destruction of so much by the careless and inconsiderate hands of people who are hell bent on fewer regulations, you have to wonder what they were thinking.

It’s as if they’re just lost and simply don’t get it.

You listen to the Republican echo chamber of excuses and talking points, while in the back of your mind you hear the chant, “Drill Baby Drill”. You see the faces of Conservatives chanting “Drill Baby Drill”.

You imagine what could have been if they would have won.

The chant may have been “Drill Baby Drill”, but if the environment and ocean creatures could talk, I bet the chant would have been “Kill Baby Kill.”

You can vote for whomever you wish, but consider who and what you’re voting for when you do. Many Republicans want to blame everyone else for the problems than address their own problems and the ones they’ve caused. What you don’t know can destroy you. What you don’t know may also benefit you, but it won’t happen until you consider others beyond yourself or your own narrow understanding.

You may not believe anything is wrong, but again, what you fail to understand is what will destroy you. The more you continue to ruin the world, the more of it will eventually ruin you. It may not be in your backyard today, but one day it just may. Today I believe there are some who knows that to be true, because it’s in their backyard essentially. They breath the same air we pollute. They drink and live in the same water we contaminate. And for what reason do we do all of this?

Our greed, recklessness and lack of consideration for others beyond ourselves, that’s why. For a quart of oil and a gallon of gas.
Go ahead a continue your chant.
Yeah, I hear ya. Country First. Drill, Baby, Drill.

The Time is Now

Why is it that Republicans do not want to talk about immigration?

Could it be that it exposes  who they essentially have become or welcomed into their ranks?

When you observe their position on this issue you must ask the question of how long will we sit silently with a voyueristic mentality on immigration reform?

Yes, Democrats shouldn’t be comfortable either. The time is now and this is why Democrats, Moderate Republicans & Independents should speak up more than ever in solidarity with our immigrant friends who seek citizenship and those Americans immediately descended from immigrant parents.

There is a problem with illegal immigration in the country, but why is it always an issue with Republicans & their subsidiaries when the immigrant is Spanish or African decent? I’m sure you can find some European Illegal Immigrants, but where’s the outrage then?

Isn’t this what America is? A nation of immigrants. Or are we so captivated by who we are that we have forgotten what we are?

I’m not a Joe Scarborough fan at all. I’m generally suspicious of him, but this former Republican Congressman is one of the few who you push away from the GOP. He makes a valid point and so do his guests.

Finally, Republicans and friends. Do you realize the growing list of groups you continue to tell go away?  If you want to believe that it’s never about race then why is the GOP so overwhelmingly White? Yes, you have some Blacks and a few others, but what you don’t understand even about that is what is destroying the party. Democrats will continue to beat you over the head with this billy club until you do something about it in your positions and policy. To site an instance of diversity does not prove that you are diverse. Diversity is proven over time and by what you advocate.

Michael Steele: Blacks don’t have a reason to vote for Republican

I actually can not believe that finally, a Republican has validated what I’ve been trying to teach them about what they’re doing. I called out Black Republicans awhile ago, because I said that they were the GOP’s last ounce of social consciousness that remained. So as I was preparing to close the book on the GOP and just let them figure it out the hard way, Michael Steele actually says it.

Thank you Chairman Steele. I often disagree with you, but when I said that I would probably find myself defending you more often against your own party than I would opposing you, it was true. I really don’t know what you can accomplish that would register to many within the GOP, because I’ve tried. Many simply refuse to open their minds to consideration of others beyond themselves. I continue to wish you the best of luck, because you know what’s going on, even if you can not politically admit it. I know, it’s politics, nothing personal.

As usual, those who continue to misunderstand the message will side with what’s comfortable for them and respond with anger and denial.  Do what you do. I’ve been trying to tell you this for almost two years now. I give up on you, just as the GOP has given up on Moderate White Republicans, Asians, Arabs, Latinos, Jews, Blacks, Pacific Islanders, Catholics, Gay/Lesbian and especially any other immigrant.

Personally, I applaud the Chairman of the Republican Party, MD Former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele for finally saying what should have been said a long time ago.  Gen. Colin Powell, Former Rep Mel Martinez, Former Sen. Chuck Hagel, Late Sec. Jack Kemp and many others have said similar things, but how do you tell a group of scared people who believe the way they do things is always right and any other way is always wrong that they’re going in the wrong direction? At some point you have to stop saying anything and allow them to realize that they’re lost.

Link to the article by Andy Barr, published on 04/21/10 at Politico.com:
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0410/36171.html

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele told a group of students that African-Americans “don’t have a reason” to vote for Republicans.

Steele was asked Tuesday night during a speech to roughly 200 students at DePaul University why African-Americans should vote for GOP candidates.

You really don’t have a reason, to be honest,” Steele responded, as was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. “We haven’t done a very good job of giving you one.

Steele has made similar comments in the past, saying during an interview in November that some white Republicans are “scared” of him.

I’ve been in the room and they’ve been scared of me,” said the first African-American chairman of the RNC at the time. “I’m like, ‘I’m on your side.’”

In his remarks Tuesday, Steele also defended his outreach to leaders of the tea party movement despite friction between the grassroots groups and the RNC.

Those activists have now become a very large part of our voting block,” he said. “They represent a third or more of the voting age population, so they’re going to have a profound impact on elections and in some cases in the primaries this November and this spring. Both parties had better pay attention.

Final Note: Exactly Mr. Chairman. I swear I’ve been saying this for the longest. They will call you names for even trying to point out the issue and provide an answer. This is why so many have given up on what is the Republican Party. Some try to use the old tired phrase that it’s the Party of Lincoln, and remind you that Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclomation, but has no knowledge of the events that followed that. Has no sense of history of the reasons for it. But will say that we’re the problem with America. It’s Simply Amazingly.
Good Luck Mr. Steele, I’m not a Republican, but I wish you well.

The Bland Uniformity of Opinion

I want to begin by saying that I respect and support President Obama and his Administration in its efforts and intentions. Personally, I could not imagine the pressure that they all live under when confronting the issues he and they must contend with on a daily basis. When you find yourself immediately responsible for policies put into place by the previous administration that essentially was an assault on the middle-class, working-class and poverty stricken Americans I can only have empathy for you.

When faced with a question of how to unite the state of America, I believe the answer is simple, but damn near impossible to navigate. To journey beyond the impeding mountains of ignorance, fear and the timid, both politically and socially is no easy task.

How does one Administration correct the noted and realized failures and assaults of the previous Administration? This is true not only for the Obama Administration, but also for the Bush Administration, Clinton Administration and beyond. This will be true for whoever comes after President Obama. In my opinion this is what everyone seems to be missing.

Have we become so blinded with a bland uniformity of opinion that we can not form a fair solution?

When the news become nothing more than liberal and conservative entertainment who are we to believe?

Republicans & Conservatives are just as guilty as Democrats & Liberals. Whenever one of either group speaks truthfully about an issue, they are almost instantly silence or discredited as if they are content with discord. If we are to unite the state of America we have to consider others beyond ourselves. The bland uniformity of opinion is what is aiding and abetting the purveyors of division, the insurgents of hate, our common enemy.

Those who are unfamiliar with history may not understand or misinterpret what I have to say next, but let them talk. Because I have not given up on the promise of America despite all the country has done and in some cases continue to do that contradicts that promise. The mindset of some who are fearful of anyone who doesn’t look like or agree with them is the same mindset of a domestic terrorist. I’m referring to the domestic terrorist not in the typical definition, but in terms of how their inconsiderate ideology continues to destroy and sabotage their lives with the bland uniformity of opinion.

So instead of criticizing the President with signs and protests that reveal more of who you are and what you represent, why not try to demonstrate consideration for a person who must consider you.

How to Silence the Republican Party & Subsidiaries?

Quick Note: I already know that those who publicly or privately support the Republican Party and its subsidiaries will likely misunderstand the meaning in the message only to comment on the surface. To those individuals I ask you to take a moment to really think about what I’m suggesting, before you make the mistake and seek to enter a discussion on a subject you may not be as versed or comfortable enough to intelligently maintain. What you don’t understand or assume is not an issue is the issue. Challenge if you like, but I will not waste time with foolish arguments of what you fail to comprehend.

When Sarah Palin & Friends can go on the expected media venue, FOX News and have the nerve to suggest that Arizona is not involved in racial profiling or even the Tea Party does not have a tinge of racism within it, you’re seeing what is essentially White Privilege. The privileged don’t realize their privilege. They generally have the opinion that if you can point out a Black face, then it’s not racist. They couldn’t be more wrong.

Personally, sincerely work to not place an association of the blame on a single race of people. There are Black people as well who in effort to get in where they fit in they adopt a mentality that goes against their better interests. Not all Blacks support issues beneficial to Blacks for various reasons. You can look through history to learn this. Not every Black person supported the Civil Rights Movement or the desegregation, just to name a few.

In addition, it’s not fair to assume all White people suffer from this social/moral disease, because there are those who clearly see what is going on and stand up and speak out against it. But typically they’re not Republicans either.

Question: How do you silence the Republican Party, Conservatives, Birthers, 2nd Amendment Fanatics, the Christian Right, Militias, Tea Party supporters and it’s conservative or sympathetic subsidiaries?

Suggestion: You put a Black face on it.

Explanation: Immediately people who are unfamiliar with the psychology of race in America will run to what’s comfortable for a response, whether that is to call me a racist without consideration for what I’m suggesting or to assume a silent voyeuristic response. The face is what you believe you understand, you may not fully comprehend the extent of it.

When I say, “put a Black face on it” I am referring to any face of color. The reality is that the Republican Party and an overwhelming percentage of its members and supporters demographics are confined to a single culture. No matter how many faces of color they trot out into the public view, the reality is that they are few in numbers when you consider the whole. That’s not racist, that’s reality.

I’ve mentioned this on previous occasions, but if the Republicans & Conservatives simply listen and incorporate more of the ideas and concerns of its few members of color for an extended period of time, you will begin to make cultural gains. In return the party will attract more people of color, because you will finally have proven that you listen to them.

Michael Steele has the potential, but you’ve confined him to a corner. You have some brilliant people of color that doesn’t get a chance to shine, because you force them to “keep their hand on that plow” and do the work given to them. This is destroying the future of the GOP and any reasonable efforts to ever make cultural gains outside of the White Conservative community or social perspective.

Recently retired congressman, Mel Martinez would have been outstanding representative of a start for the GOP, but you ran him out with what is essentially racist rhetoric. Most Republicans will not publicly admit it, but you only need to analyze their career to learn the truth. Consider the argument the GOP provides when it comes to immigration for example.

Even Florida Governor Charlie Crist; a white moderate Republican and a Republican I actually don’t have a big problem with is being forced to run as an Independent.

Republicans that would cause Democrats problems in an election are being forced out by Republicans who are doing the Democrats electoral work for them. Some want to tout Scott Brown, but I saw beware.

I say this because hate, discrimination, intolerance and homophobia is our common enemy; diversity and inclusive its kryptonite.

The Republican Party can’t retain its members of color, because of the position taken nationally, state-wide and locally on issues of importance to the people they most desperately need to win. Winning a battle doesn’t mean you have won the war, ask your Confederate romancers about that.

You will continue to be called racist, bigots, homophobic and religiously intolerant as long as you make the Republican Party’s social environment inclusive to individuals who incorporate these sentiments and considerations of others. The Republican Party is not racist, but it is allowing racist to become Republicans. I can’t make that any easier to understand than that. All everyone is now telling you to do is simply, Do Something.

This is why Democrats will continue to make gains, because it now has a Black face.

You can be upset with me if you like, but that’s the truth.

When you make the mistake of basically saying “We have Blacks too” you make yourself look even worse. It doesn’t matter if it is Black, Latino, Asian or Arab, when you have an obvious deficit of diversity and take positions and support policies that are not in the interest of these groups, and then try to say you’re inclusive, you raise resentment towards you and your efforts by the same communities you are suggesting that you have.

There’s a explanatory hip hop lyric in the song “Welcome to the Terrordome” by Public Enemy that summarizes this perfectly. “Every brother ain’t a brother cause of color, some matter-as-well be undercover”. This is understood by every group mentioned and when you think about it should be realized by you as well. The people you would call carpetbaggers is your definition of this.

Democrats and Liberals are not naïve and some can be politically savvy. The same racial politics that Republicans continue to use to drive away diversity in the party is the reverse strategy that’s being used by Democrats to make them more diverse. You put a Black face up in defense of claims of racism aimed at you and Democrats can put up a 100 times that and with more variety of color. You make the mistake that many of the culturally unaware make by saying in actions and gestures “We got Blacks too.”

So how do you silence Republicans? You put a Black face on them. By putting a Black face or Latino face or Asian face or Pacific Islander face or Arab face on them, you make them uncomfortable and force them to confront themselves and who they’ve become. It’s not what they are, it’s what they have become.

When you believe you’re the only one who is right, then you’re most likely wrong. Conservative fanatics may attack, but they can’t fight truth, time & reality.

About The Time I Get to Arizona

For those who fail to understand why the GOP and its subsidiaries continue to receive the accusations of racism despite the repeated instances, perhaps you can kindly explain the Civil Rights risk Arizona is taking with its anti-immigration state law.

Many are prone to believe what they hear on FOX News and Conservative Talk Radio, but how do you look into the eyes of your Black, Latino, Asian & Arab friends or neighbors if you have any?

To stopping anyone who appears to be an illegal immigrant…?

Do you not see the problems with that?

Do you realize by your support, what and where this can lead to?

The enforcement of this law will be a Civil Rights violation; an unconstitutional seizure of a person with probable Cause (or even “reasonable suspicion”); and, also a violation of 42 USC sec. 1983: http://www.answers.com/topic/section-1983-1

It’s obvious that many do not, because most do not take the opportunity to consider the history and experiences of others due to their self fascination of their own.

Democrats should not be so politically cautious, because Republicans are marching off an electoral cliff by their blind support and disregard on this state law. They’re giving you political ammunition; do like Sarah and lock and load. Since it’s not about inciting violence.

Why stop here? Why not stop anyone who is Black, because they may be up to no good? While you’re at it, why not stop any one who appears to be Muslim, because they must be up to no good? Why not stop anyone who appears to be gay, because they must be up to no good? Let’s stop anyone who doesn’t fit a narrow description for what it is to be American.

The Great American Melting Pot… Please.

You can not be so blind to fear that you are so easily rounded up and subjected to succumbing to the cultural stereotypes that has plagued American history since its heist from the Native Americans.

Yes, there is a problem with illegal immigrants, but stopping anyone who appears to be an immigrant is not the answer. You’re bound to stop and American citizen? Do you not understand basic Civil Rights laws?

This is why the Republican Party and its subsidiaries will continue to alienate itself to irrelevancy.

This is not the way to solve the problems with immigration. You can blame Washington, but I believe there were some Republicans who are to blame as well as Democrats for inaction. You can not blame President Obama for all that is ill and not consider the roles of Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan and beyond. This was a problem long before President Obama even announced he was running for the office, so lets be honest.

Do you realize that the more you alienate people the smaller and less powerful you become?

Who do you think benefits from your cultural ignorance?

Time and history will be your judge.

It Ain’t My Fault

WNYMedia.net received a large number of emails that Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino has sent to other individuals, some of them quite prominent in the Western New York business and political community from an anonymous source.

On Monday morning April 12th, they post a selection of shocking emails that Carl Paladino sent that includes:

  1. December 2008 email including a video of African tribesmen doing a traditional dance, entitled “Obama Inauguration Rehearsal
  2. January 6, 2009 email showing a video of Chimpanzees doing an Irish line dance entitled, “Proof the Irish discovered Africa“.
  3. January 20, 2010 email including a hardcore pornographic video purporting to show Miss France having sex.
  4. October 4, 2009 email showing President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama dressed as a 70s era pimp and prostitute in full blackploitation regalia.
  5. November 20, 2009 email showing a woman engaged in a sex act entitled, “xxLinda Lovelace’s grand daughterxx
  6. March 10, 2009 email entitled “Little Johnny” showing a naked woman, but sent to Mr. Paladino during work hours from City of Buffalo email addresses
  7. July 30, 2009 email entitled “Demotivated” which includes an image using a derogatory term for black people. (I wonder what they could have been?)
  8. September 8, 2009 email entitled, “Easy Steady Big Fella….XXXX” graphically depicting a horse having sexual intercourse with a woman.

WNY Media has confirmed the authenticity of these emails and are positive that Mr. Paladino forwarded them to others. Their newsworthiness has to do with the fact that Mr. Paladino is running to be governor of all New Yorkers – these emails degrade women and minorities. And there are more like them.

Now is that appropriate to forward to other people for someone who is running for Governor?

This is a simple question, but what does he resort to? The same type of response we’ve heard before. It’s the Democrats.

Seriously, what does the Democrats has to do with what you email?

Listen, you can hate whomever you please, you can be into whatever sexual perversion you please, but just be honest about it. I’ve been called all types of names by people who can never answer the questions asked. Instead they resort to name calling and deflecting blame because they are defenseless.

So I ask the question with emphasis to all of my Conservative and Republican friends with all due sincerity. If you believe these are isolated incidents, then explain why they continue to happen? Also, how is this appropriate behavior for anyone seeking a public office?

Keep in mind that how you respond is more revealing than you may realize, so just be honest and reveal only who you are.

Pro-Life, Pro-Death Question

This should be a very simple question for everyone who listens to this video. Although I have a feeling some will try to rationalize it, their response will be true evidence of their hypocrisy if they neglect telling the truth.

I ask Republicans, Conservatives & the Tea Party folks to specifically address this if you can. I have a feeling that many won’t.

How can you be Pro-Life and wish death on someone?

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Too Late Boehner, but good try.

The Waterloo is on You

Before ANY Republican or Conservative begin to lash out at me, let me remind you that this not my words, but the words of REPUBLICAN and your boy George W. Bush’s speech writer David Frum.

So as many of you will do what is expected and seek to discredit anyone who disagrees or proves you wrong or reveals your tactics, even when it’s one of your own, I can only wonder what Napoleon was thinking at the battle of Waterloo.

Now I’ve said all there is to say to you, with endless warnings, questions and offers of consideration. Now I will let you be. Whether it is to be left alone and behind in terms of social progress or in educating yourself of the realities of your follies, I must let you be.

Don’t worry, because I’ll check on you from time to time to see how you’re doing, but you’ve made it clear that you choose regress over progress. I’m sure Democrats will slip up at some point and then you will have your opportunity. But considering all the bridges you’ve burned in terms of connecting with people of color, which is a growing minority set to becoming a majority in the United States shortly, I don’t know what else to really say to you except good luck.

Rep. McDermott reading a passage from the warning of George W. Bush’s speech writer, conservative and Republican, David Frum. Good Day.

Racial Discrimination Inherited in Tea Party (Re-Post)

FINAL UPDATE/RE-POST:
Before I even begin this I have to say Thank You to Keith Olbermann for using his forum to say this. I know that there will be Republicans, Conservatives & Tea Party folks who will only see the name or read the title without listening completely and dismiss or deny what is being said. But I’ve been saying this since September 2008 on here with example after example. I’ve taken my own advice and honestly tried to consider the concerns and perspective of all of the people who associate with the GOP in one way or the other. I’ve repeatedly written that there are some good people in the party, but I have also repeatedly challenge you to address one issue. Each time I repeatedly have no Republican, no Conservative, no Tea Party supporter honest or open-minded enough to sincerely consider the challenge.

All I ask of you to do is to JUST LISTEN.

I have warned several times to Republicans to do something about the cancer that is killing the party and the response is silence. I know the post is being read, because the numbers spike each time I’ve asked these questions far beyond any other topic. So I have only one other group within the Republican Party to address, but I believe they to will continue to remain silent. I may be a Democrat, I may be Black, but I am first an American. I’ve taken so much crap from and tried to explain it to you in such a way that all can understand that now I give up on you and can only ask people to pray. But I can’t ask that either, because the venom has gone beyond just politics and back into the pews of the church. I know it’s not all churches, synagogues, temples or mosques. I personally know it’s not all White Conservatives, but you’ve got to address this issue, because it is going to kill the Republican Party.

So I THANK YOU Keith Olbermann. Yes he is a Democrat, but he is one of the few if not the only  White Man who has the forum to speak exactly about this issue. I don’t know if those of you who are Republicans, Conservatives or support the Tea Party activities are of the mindset to truly comprehend what is being said by Keith and others and has been said by myself on here, but I pray that you do.

Examiner – 03/21/2010 “Tea Party protesters shout Nigger and spit on lawmaker”
Now one may wonder who could these so-called patriots dare do this to? Rep. John Lewis (D-GA). The same John Lewis who was beaten first on Bloody Sunday (03/07/65), the same John Lewis who is the only living speaker who was on the roster to speak  on 08/28/63 in Washington DC (March on Washington. I know most of the people who are apart of the Tea Party don’t know or care about history, so I’ll give you a hint. It’s the same day Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered “I Have a Dream”. I’m sure that’s all most will know about it.) But it’s not about race, right.

FINAL UPDATE/RE-POST:
This is what I’ve been talking about for more than two years. It’s not all Republicans, but if Republicans who do understand what’s going on within their party don’t speak up and speak against the people with a hateful agenda who is taking over your party then they will destroy it. You don’t need me to tell you that, but it appears that some do. We may disagree on issues of policy or political method, but hate is our common enemy. What do you think there’s so few people of any color except for White in the GOP? All of them are not suddenly Democrats. It’s the hate that they see and the racism both unconscious and overt that essentially places a sign outside the door saying “For Whites Only”. Yes, I’m speaking figuratively, but those who are aware get the point. These are not ‘isolated incident’ or ‘people getting stupid’. This is a pattern of hate, discrimination and isolation that has become the New Republican Party. I’m not so partisan that I want to see you destroyed by hate. We, Republicans & Democrats have a love/hate relationship, but for me I love you a percent more than I hate you. Do something about this problem within the GOP or you will soon see the end of its relevancy in modern politics.

White, Male & Conservative?

I’m going to ask everyone who identifies themselves as a Republicans/Conservative to be honest enough to answer a simple and sincere question. I know the history of the Republican Party, so I do not need anyone to attempt to explain it to me, because I’ve written about the GOP of yesterday many times. I’m speaking primarily about the Republican Party as it is today.

What will it become in the future if we consider what it has become today? Each time I’ve addressed this question in its various forms to those who has identified themselves to me as a Republican, Conservative or even a Tea Party protester none were willing to address it or give an honest answer. Just a political attack. I do not want to attack the GOP, but ask for an honest answer from the members of the GOP on its future if the trends in its member demographics continue.

So here is my question to Republicans/Conservatives. I mean no harm, but very interested in receiving your answer. If you’re a Republican/Conservative/Teabagger, you should be able to answer this question.

Why is the overwhelming majority of the Republican Party’s membership, elected officials and the self-identified Republicans, Conservative or Teabagger primarily White men?

If it’s not true, then you should be able to prove that with facts, right?
Yes, I know the Republican Party has members who are not White men, so it’s not exclusively White but the vast majority of its members are. I’m interested in what is so attractive about the Republican Party to White people that aren’t as attractive to everyone else?

I’m honestly not trying to attack you, make fun or criticize you. “Some of my best friends are White, Male & Conservative

I really want to learn what it is about the GOP that attracts White people more than all other races of people in the United States. You tell me it’s not about race, so why does the GOP consists of more Whites than any other race? You must have an answer for that.

If the claims of non-exclusionary tactics are true and/or to be believed, then there must be at least one White Conservatives/Republicans who believe in their party enough to provide a true answer to this question.

Yes, I am well aware of the few non-white males who are Republicans and that’s why I want to reiterate a keyword in my question OVERWHELMINGLY. I have a slightly different question for this minority (no pun intended) soon.

I’m open-minded enough to consider other point-of-views even when I’m accused for not doing so.

The explanations I’ve heard in the past in defense of the Republican Party in terms of its lack of diversity are that it’s “The Party of Lincoln” argument. This is only true on the paper in history textbooks, because it is not representative of the party as it is today.

Some may seek to avoid the question by mentioning Michael Steele, Colin Powell & Condoleezza Rice as proof. I would advice that you not take that path, unless you’re ready to go into a more in-depth conversation. Like I previous mentioned I have a question for this group too.

I don’t need to be a Republican to know and have an appreciation of the history of the Republican Party. My motives are to understand how a political party that has routinely identify and position itself more than any other political party with White men overwhelmingly more than any other group. This in midst of a continuously evolving multicultural society. This question is not about any other political party except for the one mention. There’s little reason to place blame, on liberals, Democrats or any other name one wishes to use. This question offers the opportunity for consideration, sincerity and honest reflection in order to provide a solid answer.

So I ask this question to my Republican and Conservative friends in hopes someone has courage enough to embrace me with an answer.
