Eyes fixed on the future

Sen. Hillary Clinton motioned to cut the roll call short saying, “With eyes firmly fixed on the future, and in the spirit of unity with the goal of victory, with faith in our party and our country, let’s declare together with one voice right here, right now that Barack Obama is our candidate and he will be our president.

  1. I just saw the clip online. It was a sweet move. Some many people feared that the convention would be made into a circus, but she did put an end to it. It was really a historic moment. The funny thing–with Bill giving his speech (comparing Barack’s experience to his own when he first ran) and Hillary making her motion (her supporters chanting her name), the Clintons became the heroes of the night.

Hopefully now we can get down to the business of winning this election. (I don’t even want to hear the media talking heads comment on tonight.)
